The Prison and The Story
Indian River Correctional Institution was a state-run prison located in Vero Beach, Florida. It originally housed adult male offenders and was classified as a medium-security facility. This institution served the state for many years, primarily holding inmates with a history of violent offenses or long-term sentences. In recent times, Indian River Correctional Institution was one of several prisons that were closed as part of Florida’s prison consolidation efforts, officially shutting its doors in 2012. The facility was designed to provide rehabilitation services, including vocational training, educational programs, and mental health support.
However, due to its closure, the inmates previously held here were relocated to other Florida prisons. Indian River Correctional Institution’s closure marked a significant shift in Florida’s correctional system, particularly in terms of resource allocation and inmate capacity management.
Rob Goodman
Founder & President
Rob Goodman has spent more than 30 years working in every part of production, from development and budgeting to shooting and post. He has produced commercials, branded content, music videos, short films, and features for clients including Pepsi, Southwest, and Aperol.
That experience is what he brings to every production at Cellblock Studios. Rob knows what productions need on the ground, from logistics and crew needs to schedules and the problems that come up mid-shoot, and he makes sure the space and support are there to keep things on track.

Suzanne Kovi
VP of Studio Relations
Suzanne brings 30 years of experience in film, television, and business, working both in front of and behind the camera. As a SAG actress and a producer-side partner on productions, she understands what every part of a production needs to succeed, and she has built several businesses of her own along the way.
At Cellblock Studios, Suzanne is your main point of contact from the first conversation through the final day of shooting. Before production begins, she makes sure you have everything you need, from the space and resources to connections with key industry professionals. Once cameras are rolling, she stays connected with your team to answer questions and address challenges as they come up, so nothing slows you down.
Suzanne and Rob have worked together on many projects over the past 30 years, and they are committed to lending that experience to make your production a success.
